Potters Parkway Pitstop

The Potters Parkway Pitstop is my Airbnb. This 3-room space is part of my house but guests have a separate entrance.  Consider this site if you are looking for somewhere to stay in the area. I am located right off the Blue Ridge Parkway and about 20 minutes from the center of Floyd town.

COVID – 19 Precautions for my Airbnb – Potters Parkway Pitstop

Here are some of the precautions I follow when cleaning your space between stays at Potters Parkway Pitstop.

1.  I wear protective gear while I clean. I wash my hands immediately after removing gloves.

2.  I ventilate rooms before I clean. The CDC recommends opening outside doors and windows and using ventilating fans to increase air circulation in the space before beginning to clean and sanitize.

3. I wash my hands thoroughly before and after each cleaning. I use soap and water and wash for at least 20 seconds.

4. I clean, then sanitize. I use detergent or soap and water to remove dirt, grease, dust, and germs. Once the surface is clean, I spray with a disinfectant. I let it stand for a few minutes, then wipe.

5. I avoid touching my face while cleaning. To prevent the spread of germs, the CDC recommends not touching your face, nose, and eyes with unwashed hands—so I pay extra attention when cleaning.

6. I use the right disinfectant. Most common household disinfectants registered by the Environmental Protection Agency, as well as cleaning solutions with diluted household bleach or at least 70% alcohol, are believed to be effective against the coronavirus. I pay special attention to frequently touched surfaces, like light switches, doorknobs, remote controls, and faucet handles.

7.  I wash all linens at the highest heat setting recommended by the manufacturer. That includes bedsheets, mattress covers, hand and bath towels, kitchen towels, and blankets.

8. I clean and sanitize laundry baskets and hampers.

9.  I empty the vacuum cleaner after every cleaning.

10. I safely remove any cleaning gear. When I am done cleaning, I immediately remove any protective gloves and masks and dispose of them.
